I. ROD WARRANTY POLICY
Temple Reef rods are covered by a warranty for 1 year to the original retail purchaser. Temple Reef’s sole obligation under this warranty is to repair or replace, at Temple Reef’s discretion, a defective rod at no cost to the original retail purchaser other than the cost of packing, insuring and shipping the rod to Temple Reef. Should we decide to replace the damaged product but no longer offer that model, we will replace it with what we determine to be the closest comparable model from our current product line.
A rod will be deemed defective if damage occurs at the “Red Zone.” Please see Appendix A depicting the “Red Zone” for the different type of rods. For rod damage in the “Red Zone,” Temple Reef will replace part of, or the entire rod at its discretion, at no cost to the original retail purchaser.
Should the rod model be no longer available in our inventory, or if it has been discontinued, it will be replaced with what we determine to be the closest comparable model from our current line.
Defect replacements can only be made within 6 months from date of purchase and claimed in accordance with item – III MAKING CLAIMS. (see below)
Any damage outside the “Red Zone” can be replaced with our “NO QUESTIONS ASKED REPLACEMENT” policy stipulated in item II.
II. NO QUESTIONS ASKED REPLACEMENT
Within the 1 year warranty period, damage occurring due to user accidents, resulting in breakage of the blank can be replaced to the original retail purchaser at 50% of the prevailing retail price plus shipping and handling costs, at Temple Reef’s sole discretion.
Should the rod model be no longer available or if it is discontinued, it will be replaced with what we determine to be the closest comparable model from our current product line.
III. MAKING A CLAIM
Claims are to be made online at this link – https://templereef.com/claim-application-form/. Please indicate the series and model of the rod, a copy of the purchase receipt and photographs of the entire rod clearly displayed in its entirety including all the broken sections, and close ups of the break areas.
A description of the events that happened to cause the break is also required. If the breakage took place during fishing, details of the jig weight, lure weight, fish size and method of rod use etc are required.
IV. DISCLAIMER
Temple Reef retains its full discretion in respect of all replacement warranties and claims. Un-documented and spurious claims without the required standards of evidence outlined in Section III will not be processed.
Under no circumstances will Temple Reef be held liable for intentional, incidental or consequential damages due to breach of this warranty or any other warranties implied by law.
